GET /limits returns the limits that apply to your key right now. Read it instead of hard-coding the numbers above. When a budget runs out, the API returns 429 rate_limited with a Retry-After header. Wait that many seconds before trying again.

Staying under the limits

Use the change feed instead of re-listing all calls. One request to GET /calls/changes tells you exactly what is new.
Ask for 100 per page. Fewer, larger pages use less of your budget.

Seeing your usage

Both usage endpoints need usage:read. The audit feed needs audit:read.
