# Parlay MCP server

> Ask Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client about your team's calls in plain language.

The Parlay MCP server connects an AI assistant to your Parlay data. Once connected, you can ask questions like *"Which of Jordan's calls this week had the weakest discovery, and what did he say?"* and the assistant looks up the answer in your real calls.

## MCP server or App API?

| | MCP server | App API |
| - | - | - |
| **Best for** | People asking questions in an AI assistant | Your own software syncing or acting on data |
| **Sign in** | Your Parlay account, approved in the browser | An organization API key |
| **Reads** | Calls, transcripts, coaching, trends, rank, deals, playbook | Everything in the MCP server, plus teams, CRM, playlists, training, usage and more |
| **Writes** | None. It is read-only. | None yet. It is read-only today. |
| **Access lasts** | 90 days, then sign in again | Until the key expires (up to 365 days) |

## What it can see

When you connect, you choose what the assistant may read:

* **Just your own calls.** Available to everyone. Includes an anonymous comparison with your team.
* **The whole organization.** Available to owners. Reads every rep's calls in your organization.

Transcript access is a separate checkbox on the approval screen, because transcripts contain what customers said.

The server is **read-only**. It cannot change, delete or send anything.

## Good to know

* **Answers come from your data.** The assistant quotes transcripts it actually retrieved. Feedback and scores are Parlay's analysis, not a transcript.
* **Your AI provider sees what it reads.** Questions and the data the assistant retrieves are sent to the AI tool you connect, under that provider's terms.
* **Disconnect anytime.** Remove the connection in your AI tool, or revoke it in Parlay under **Settings → MCP**.
